The University at Buffalo recently relocated its School of Nursing to Wende Hall, one of South Campus’ original buildings built in 1885. UB invested $7.1 million to renovate the historic building into a model, energy efficient 21st century research building equipped with new classrooms, offices, and laboratories. These physical improvements accompany advancements in the school’s administrative and educational structure as well, in an effort to make itself one of the most competitive nursing programs in the United States.
Wende Hall’s restoration is a part of an overarching goal attributed to UB2020’s plan to update facilities to the highest standard as well as to locate all five of the university’s health sciences schools on the South Campus.
